Jason Aldean, Kane Brown Celebrate National Champs Georgia Bulldogs

This week was a big one for the many country music superstars who love the Gerogia Bulldogs. That would include Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, and Thomas Rhett. The Georgia Bulldogs beat the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday.

Just before the game got underway, Jason, a native of Macon, Georgia, posted a photo of him on his knees praying for his Bulldogs on his Insta Stories. Later, he posted a Championship sign with the words “Back 2 Back.” His wife Brittany posted to Instagram before the game, “Bitter Bama fan, but I do love my man so…Go Dawgs…. (Just for one night).”

Kane Brown, who grew up just north of Georgia in Chattanooga, Tennessee, also posted a cute video before the game. The video showed him holding his daughter Kingsley and repeating three times, “Say it, King!” as she shouted, “Go dawgs.” he captioned the clip, “ITS GAME DAYYY GO DAWGS BABYYYYYYY.”

Native Georgia boy Thomas Rhett also posted a photo of himself in Georgia gear along with his wife, Lauren. He wrote, “LETS GO, DAWGS! Bring this one home.”

Georgia now claims five National Championships: they won in 1942, 1980, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

A champion on another level, Kane Brown was given the 2022 Champion of Youth Award at the 75th National Youth of the Year celebration in October at the Beverly Hills Hilton from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The Champion of Youth Award is bestowed to individuals for exhibiting above-and-beyond service to Boys & Girls Clubs. Previous recipients include NBA star Lebron James, entertainer Jennifer Lopez, Olympic champion Michael Phelps, and the late former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Typically held in Washington D.C., this year marked the event’s first time in Los Angeles, gathering honorable Boys & Girls Clubs alums, staff, partners, and celebrity supporters at the celebration of teens awarded on the local, state, and regional levels throughout the year.

The lyrics tell the story of two men on a first-class flight "from New York to Los Angeles," discussing who would want to live in the land they are seeing down below and saying that the land is "in the middle of nowhere."

  The song’s video portrays a young couple's love story, starting from their teenage years, fast-forwarding through marriage and settling down, all the way to the young man's leaving for war. Jason said of the song, "It reminds me of where I’m from, and some of the stuff I did when I was growing up.”

  Written by fellow artists Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford, when this song came out Aldean's publicist teased about the song, suggesting Aldean listened to "a little Snoop Dogg in his time." However, Jason said he did not consider "Dirt Road Anthem" a rap song, although he later did a remix of the song with Ludacris.

  The song’s lyrics describe his lover as being "relentless" in nature saying, "I can't outrun it / Just keeps coming / Girl, your love is relentless." He compares her to a daydream, crashing waves, and a storm.

  The music video for this song premiered in June 2016. It is 5 minutes long and combines tour footage of Aldean's 2016 “Six String Circus Tour,” with an in-depth interview in which he states what touring means to him.
