Chris Stapleton will honor America by singing the National Anthem before Super Bowl LVII, on 5:30 p.m. CST on Sunday, February 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The event will be broadcast on Fox.

Also, Babyface will perform “America the Beautiful.” Actor-singer Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform the 123-year-old hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The game’s halftime show will feature Rihanna.

Chris’ appearance continues a trend of country stars singing the anthem before the Super Bowl. Mickey Guyton performed it last year at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.

Stapleton’s team posted the news to Instagram, writing, “Watch Chris Stapleton perform the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVII on FOX. 2.12.23 • #SBLVII @nfl @nflonfox @rocnation.”

Fans were thrilled with the news, with one commenting, “Finally.” Another fan wrote, “This what the games been missing… pure soul.” One more fan said, “Can you do the halftime show instead? Asking for a friend.”

In August, Chris was in his home state of Kentucky, where floods ravaged the eastern part of the state and took the lives of 37 people. His “Outlaw State of Kind Fund” donated money to the Red Cross and Appalachia Crisis fund through the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky. Stapleton also had been physically helping people pick up the pieces of their lives, helping people in one community move items out of a house.

At the time, he was spotted at an area Walmart helping out, where one fan snapped a photo.

Another fan in the Bluegrass state posted to Twitter, “@ChrisStapleton & @TTChilders are some good dudes. Got all that money and fame. Still came home and got down in the mud with their people. #KentuckyStrong.” Tyler Childers is also a country singer/songwriter.
