Gwen Stefani Surprises Carly Pearce With Some Goodies

Carly Pearce has been touring with Blake Shelton since February, and this weekend, Blake's "Back To The Honky Tonk Tour" wraps with shows in Pittsburgh and Buffalo, New York. Blake's wife, Gwen Stefani, surprised Carly over the weekend by personally delivering a gift to her.

Gwen posted a video of the surprise on her Instagram. She said in the video of herself coming in a private plane and packing a special box of her "Give" makeup for Pearce, "Carly Pearce, you told me you're a Give fan; I'm about ready to set you up." When she gets to the venue, Stefani walks down the hall with a black Give box in hand; she says, "We're doing it. Carly Pearce, where are you? Carly!" She finds Carly sitting in a room, and Pearce squeals, "Oh my gosh." Gwen says, "All the way from Los Angeles." Carly says, "Yeah, oh my gosh, my favorite, (Pearce pulls out a lipstick) I told her I brought my own earlier to the show because I just wanted to show her this is all I use."

Stefani posted, "All the way from LA, @carlypearce, thank u for always supporting and being a @gxvebeauty cheerleader; love u !! gx."

Carly also posted the video to her Instagram, writing, "I've been such a fan of @gxvebeauty lip products, wearing them for EVERY show & this sweet angel heard about it and surprised me with the most amazing gift box! I (emoji heart) you big @gwenstefani!!!"

Before the tour kicked off in February, Carly told us why it means so much to her to tour with Shelton and one thing, in particular, she's looking forward to on tour.

Pearce said, "Blake has been so good to me through this last six years. And at every step, he's just encouraged me and made me feel like he really supported the kind of country music that I was making. So, at this point in my career, to be able to be in that direct support slot with him. I almost feel like I graduated. I do respect him so much as an artist, and just the way that his brand has built." She added, "I'm really, really excited. He's been one of my favorite people in the industry. And I have to say, I really love Gwen as well, so we're gonna have girl time."

The 2022 CMT Artists of the Year special will air tonight (10/14) on CMT. Filmed on Wednesday night (10/12) in Nashville, CMT honored Kane Brown, Walker Hayes, Luke Combs, Carly Pearce, and Cody Johnson as the five artists of the Year.

They also honored Alan Jackson as the CMT Artist of a Lifetime and Lainey Wilson as the CMT Breakout Artist of the Year.

The "Artists of the Year" is determined by what acts dominated the last 12 months in country music across all CMT platforms and notched number-one albums and singles.

In a press release back in September , CMT's Senior Vice President of Production said, "We are honored to recognize the astounding achievements of this illustrious group of artists over the past Year. Carly, Cody, Luke, Kane, and Walker all represent the vibrant future of the country music format as they defy convention and blaze new trails, breaking industry records and genre barriers. We can't wait to celebrate their extraordinary accomplishments alongside their fellow artists and friends."

Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, and Walker Hayes are first-time CMT Artists of the Year, while Kane Brown and Luke Combs were each honored for the third time (2019, 2021 & 2022).
