Lainey Wilson has a new man, and last night ( 5/11) at the ACM Awards in Texas, she made it official by walking the red carpet with him, arm in arm. The new man is former Pittsburgh Steelers football player Devlin Hodges.
Lainey and her whole band wore Hodges' Pittsburgh jersey when she performed with Luke Combs in late April. Hodges responded to a tweet from a fan that posted about Wilson sporting the jersey. He wrote, "No freaking way.. !! Wow!"
Devlin then responded to another fan and tagged Wilson via Twitter, asking her to holla at him. He wrote, "Did she really?!?! Y'all are lying !!!! @laineywilson holla at me !!!" She replied, "This is me hollering." He responded to her writing, "OH.MY.GOD, hello."
Hodges is a college football star that was signed to and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in May 2019. He was promoted to the active roster in September 2019 following an injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. After playing briefly for the Los Angeles Rams and the Ottawa Redblacks (a professional Canadian football team), he retired from football in April of 2022.
Backstage after her multiple ACM wins last night, when asked how she would celebrate, she said she would celebrate with her family. She added, "And my man. I can't believe I just said that."

Wilson won four ACM Awards at last night's show, including "Visual Media of the Year with HARDY for "Wait in The Truck," Female Artist, Album of the Year for Bell Bottom Country, and Musical Event with HARDY for "Wait in The Truck."
When she won the coveted Female Artist of the Year honor and was given the trophy by Dolly Parton, Lainey said in part, "I can't believe I just met Dolly Parton first of all, whoa! I want to say thank you to my father, thank you, Jesus, for this; this is absolutely insane."
The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by global superstars Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, takes place this Thursday, May 11 at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. “Country Music’s Party of the Year” will be streamed live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch at 7 p.m. ET. The full rebroadcast will stream the next day for free on Amazon Freevee.
Take a look below at our ranking of country music's biggest superstars' red carpet looks.
Lily Rose
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe salmon-colored blazer would have been so nice if it weren't for the baseball cap, which ruins the whole outfit.
Bailey Zimmerman
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesDespite being handsome, we hate everything about this look. The bedazzled jacket and shiny pants outfitted with combat boots are not the vibe.
Ian Munsick
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe big hat would have been a good look with the outftit, but this oversized, gaudy blazer swallows Munsick up.
Brandy Clark
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesPairing a long white and black shirt with a cropped black and gold jacket makes Brandy's proportions look all types of wrong.
Ashley McBryde
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThough Ashley's dress is nice, it would have been refreshing to see a pop of color. A little too safe of a choice for the big event.
MacKenzie Porter
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are living for this shimmering, electric blue outfit! MacKenzie took it to the next level with the cape draped over.
Hardy and Caleigh Ryan
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe studded motorcycle is a tired look, paired with black ripped skinny jeans and a baseball cap. His wife, however, stunned in this long sleeve mini dress.
Ed Sheeran
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesEd's look is pretty basic, but we do love the green color of his jacket, so props to him for the fashion attempt!
Tenille Townes
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis would be a sick outfit for work, but for a red carpet event, the snake skin pattern isn't the right choice.
Miranda Lambert
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesMiranda's dress looks a little too prom-like with the cut she chose, even though the color looks beautiful on her.
Cheyenne Kimball
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis sparkling gold gown looks gorgeous on Cheyenne, hugging her figure and making her look tall.
Breland
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe cool blue and white combo look really modern and chic on Breland, who even matches his glasses to his outfit!
Dolly Parton

The Iron Butterfly looked amazing in this silver fringed set.
Gabby Barrett
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThough this outfit looks a little hot for Texas, it is so edgy, so we applaud Gabby for pushing through. We are loving the drama in her cascading sleeves.
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesIf we never had to see leopard print dresses on a red carpet ever again, that would be a glorious day. Meanwhile, Garth's all-black look is simple yet chic.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are liking Jelly Roll's patchwork-inspired black and grey jacket, keeping the rest of his outfit within the same color scheme. His wife looked glamorous in this bronze strapless gown.
Old Dominion
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe group wore complimenting colors, and we love a matching moment. Sage, off-white, espresso, and cool blue.
Summer Duncan and Jon Pardi
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThough we love the dramatic shoulder fabric, this gold jumpsuit looks a little tacky. Jon's brown suit was perfect if it weren't for his patterned khaki hat.
Dustin Lynch
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesNow this is how you do a hat. Dustin's light sand suit matches perfectly with a darker suede hat and two-tone brown cowboy boots.
Pillbox Patti
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesPatti's fuchsia gown is gorgeous on its own, but the dramatic flip of her left shoulder gives us the glam we've been looking for.
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesAs always, Nicole stuns while Keith looks happy to be by her side. Her bronze tweed set brings out her strawberry blonde hair and compliments her complexion beautifully.
Lainey Wilson
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesLainey's satin green ensemble is gorgeous and fun with the cape. She should have went with a white or khaki hat, though.
Hailey Whitters
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesLoving the romanticism and color of this satin, lavender tiered gown!
Nicolle Galyon
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe only woman to wear white, Nicolle's gown is so glamorous and dramatic with the feathery trim.
Hayley Hubbard
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesHayley's pastel apricot-colored gown gives a shimmering effect that made us think it was leather at first. The gown's color looks great on her skin.
Caylee Hammack
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis tiered pink gown is so pretty and romantic. Looks so lovely with her fiery red hair.
Kane Brown and Katelyn Jae Brown
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are loving Kane's cool, muted blue suit, which matches his wife's top nicely. Also, his undershirt has an interesting cut and flows nicely.
