Many think it's just a piece of fabric and that is absolutely correct. The "it's" in the opening sentence refers to our nation's colors, the great red, white and blue, the colors of our grand old American flag.

Wednesday, June 14 wasn't just another Wednesday. It was Flag Day 2023. Please join me and take a moment and show your respect for the red, white and blue.

As you gaze upon those beautiful colors of Old Glory, have you ever wondered why red, white and blue? According to the national flag foundation, the red is the symbol of valor and hardiness. The white stands for innocence and purity and the blue represents justice, perseverance and vigilance.

Take just a minute to think about what those colors mean not only to a nation but to the world. After all, it seems that everyone wants to come here, and no one wants to leave. That's why we call it the greatest nation God ever created.
