Darius Rucker will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024, and he's pretty excited about the honor. Only a handful of country stars have Walk of Fame stars. Blake Shelton is the latest country star to get a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. His ceremony happened in May of this year.

Darius re-posted the announcement on his Instagram, writing, "Well… this is awesome!! Thank you!!"

Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, "Man, brotha, you have worked so hard. I'm glad they gave it 2 you." Another fan said, "Congratulations! Well deserved, Sir!" One more fan commented, "Awesome, Congrats!!!"

See that post here.

Rucker will get his star in the category of "Recording." Other music icons getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024 include Toni Braxton, Def Leppard, Sammy Hagar and Gwen Stefani.

Movie stars set to get stars on the Walk Of Fame in 2024 include Chadwick Boseman (posthumous), Gal Gadot, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chris Meledandri, Chris Pine, Christina Ricci, and Michelle Yeoh.

Before he stepped on stage to perform at CMA Fest earlier this month, Darius talked with us backstage about something in the news these days.

Rucker talked about new AI technology and Chat GPT, which can write a song in less than 60 seconds for anyone when just a few words are typed into the prompter. He said, "I think people are gonna use it and everything [else] for songwriting. Technology is just way in front of me, so I don't think about those things. I'm gonna keep doing things the way I do it and writing songs the way I write songs and let the chips fall where they may."

He added, "But that AI thing is scary, man. I'm gonna wake up one day and have a robot standing over me. (laugh) It's scary, but technology can be that way."

Blake Shelton will be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame sometime next year in 2023, and he is certainly not the only country star whose name will line the streets of Hollywood. Many a country star has come before him.
