From the Reverend Dr. Robert Schuller: "Tough times never last, but tough people do"

As a teenager, I hardly ever missed my favorite Sunday morning tv show.  You may remember Dr. Robert Schuller's "Hour Of Power."  In the 1980's, "Hour Of Power" was the nation's most watched televised weekly religious program.

For those that may not know, years before Dr. Schuller became a household name, he actually started his preaching ministry in the parking lot of a drive in movie theater.

Then, in the 1970's, Dr. Schuller shared a really bold idea with his followers.  This grand idea got lots of push back from many of Reverend Schuller's biggest donor's.  The idea was to build a new sanctuary that would accommodate 3,000 to 4,000 attendees and staff for every service held.

In 1980, Reverend Schuller and the staff proudly opened the 14 story-tall Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California.  The awesome facility contained over 10,000 glass panels along with a neon cross that stands 90 feet tall.  The Crystal Cathedral also contained the Hazel White organ, which happens to be the fifth largest pipe organ in the entire world.

A few of my favorite Dr. Robert Schuller quotes include, "let your hopes not your hurts shape your future," "faith is reacting positively to a negative situation" and "Lord make my life a window for your light to shine through and a mirror to reflect your love to all I meet."

Sadly, esophageal cancer took Reverend Schuller away in 2015.

We both know that even with the best made plans, an unexpected occurrence can take place and if allowed, derail our momentum.  Realize this fact and under no circumstances, do not allow progress to stop.  If you find yourself losing focus, refocus immediately and stay the course.

In my opinion, today's Kick Butt Tip is worth printing and keeping where you can read it daily.  "Tough times never last but tough people do."  Thank you Dr. Robert Schuller for this life-changing advice.
