Every month there is a plethora of new music for us to start playing on KML! But it's never an easy process to select which new country songs we will add to the playlists.

In December, we've added a lot of great tracks from some established stars like Dustin Lynch and Lady A. But we also made room for some newcomers like Dylan Marlowe and Ashley Cooke.

Balancing what music we play, and when we play it, is a non-stop challenge. We want to make sure we're giving you a great mix of new music, songs that are huge in the format right now, and some of your all-time favorites. And there's only so many spots we can drop those into every day! So we're also having to say goodbye to some songs, even if we don't necessarily want to. Fortunately, we bring some of the back now and then!

This year brought so much great music,  and later in the month we're going to break down which songs were played the most, and which ones you liked best. But for now, let's take a look at some of the new country songs we started playing in the month of December.

Dustin Lynch is always a favorite of ours, and Jelly Roll is one of the biggest stars of 2023. Put them together and you get this familiar-sounding track that's going to get a lot of airplay in 2024 for sure.

It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating "Carolina" with the boys from Parmalee. What a wonderful career they've evolved into. We're really liking this new one!

Justin Moore has forever been a champion of the hard-working wholesome folks who make up so much of our listening audience. So this ode to a hard-working farmer was a no-brainer for us to add.

We've missed having new Lady A music, so it's really good to have Charles Kelley back and helping this powerful trio put out another great love song.

We are admittedly biased on Dylan Marlowe. He won us over at Stars & Guitars, and even played this song for us at the show! But man this is just a fun country bop.

Ashley Cooke came by to visit us at WKML earlier in 2023, and we just adored meeting her. Her sound is unique and it's not going to be a surprise to see this break-up song skyrocket up the charts in 2024.

There are very few people working as hard as Drew Baldridge in Nashville. We love this guy. This super sweet song is going to be played at SO. MANY. WEDDINGS.

The ladies of Runaway June have had some bumps and bruises over the years, but settling in to their new lineup and sound has been great. This powerful relationship bop is gonna get some attention!
