Toby Keith Has The Number One Album In America
One week after the death of Toby Keith, who died of stomach cancer at age 62, his 35 Biggest Hits album topped the Billboard 200 Album Chart. The feat beat out albums by Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen, who often dominate the all-genre chart.
Toby’s 35 Biggest Hits was originally released in 2008. According to Billboard, is the first posthumous No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since rapper Pop Smoke’s Faith debuted at No. 1 in 2021, following his death in February 2020. It is Keith’s fifth chart-topper on the all-genre chart and his first since 2010’s Bullets in the Gun.
Since Toby’s death on February 5, many country superstars and famous friends paid tribute to him on social media, including talk show host Stephen Colbert, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, iconic actor Clint Eastwood, and many more.
Eastwood posted to X after learning of Keith’s death, “Extremely Saddened by the passing of Toby Keith, Rest in peace my friend…
