Keith Urban Shocks Travelers At The Nashville Airport
Keith Urban shocked travelers at Nashville BNA airport by taking the stage in the airport food court and playing songs for folks heading to their planes.
Keith explained to the crowd how he first played a small airport many years ago with his bandmates on the baggage claim, and it was okay until the luggage started rolling in. At one point in the short show, Keith brought one fan on stage to sing to her.
Urban posted a few video clips from the moment over the weekend and wrote, “From the baggage claim to a REAL STAGE !!!! Sooooo fun celebrating the release of ‘Messed Up As Me’ with loads of you in Concourse C yesterday and a massive thank you to everyone at @flynashville for helping us pull off the surprise.”
Many fans reacted to the post, including one fan who said, “That’s amazing!” Another fan commented, “Looks like the best gig ever!” One more fan wrote, “This would’ve given me a mild heart attack!! SO cool is this man and he loves his music!!”
Keith performed seven songs in his airport set, including his new single, “Messed Up As You.”

Urban debuted his brand new song “Messed Up As Me” at CRS in Nashville last week at the annual UMG luncheon.
Keith told us of the song in a recent interview, “‘Messed Up As Me’ is a song about a relationship that is kind of pretty dysfunctional, pretty messy, except for one part of it, and that one part of it is amazing. In fact, that one part is so good that you figure out just putting up with all the rest that is dysfunctional, possibly toxic (laughs), and just messy.”
He concluded, “Between the two of you, that one thing is well worth it.”
“Messed Up As Me” is produced by Urban and longtime co-producer Dann Huff and follows last month’s release of “Straight Line.” Both are expected to be on Keith’s album, which is slated for release later this year.
