Country Star Riley Green Says Granddad Influenced His Career Path

Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day comes from Country star Riley Green. In an interview, Riley said that it was his grandfather’s advice that inspired him to focus more on his guitar.

Riley said “it was a J-day game that freshman year and my grandaddy Buford was not a big sports guy. During the game, I got one of those ugly hits from behind and then I did about three cartwheels. After the game I had a big talk with him and he said, man, I don’t know if you need to start messin’ around with that guitar a little more and see if you can figure something out. I don’t think I was gonna make it to the Dallas Cowboys so I think I chose the right career path, but granddaddy definitely led me in that direction.”

Now, let’s both turn back the hands of time for a moment. Who was responsible for putting you on the right track to success? For me at a young age, I grow up in a very strict household. At the time, I was too young to realize that the way I was raised was a tremendous blessing. Let me tell you. I had a Mother, a Father, a Grandmother & Grandfather and an Aunt and Uncle that always found a way to put a positive spin on just about everything. I will also add that giving up was never ever ever part of my thought process.

When I was a little boy, there was a car dealer in Lumberton, North Carolina by the name of Freeman Motor Company. They had the coolest advertising slogan. “Where there is a will, there is a way. What counts most is the difference you pay.” To this day, I often use the first part of this slogan to inspire myself and others. “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

7 Traits That Irresistible People Have

The word “irresistible” brings to mind all kinds of good connotations. The word means you’re charming, fun, inviting, friendly and simply someone people want to be around. Who wouldn’t want that, right? Well, as it turns out, there are some special traits that irresistible people have.

What Does Being Irresistible Mean?

Of course, a lot of times when you hear the word “irresistible,” you think about looks. Sure, that’s most often the first thing you notice in a person. But, for this article, we’re talking about traits that don’t have anything to do with looks that make you irresistible. There’s nothing wrong with still having good looks, of course. “Positive qualities are personal attributes, character traits, skills, or strengths that are considered good or help us in some way,” notes Berkeleywellbeing.com. “It’s important to know your positive attributes and keep them in mind to develop a healthy level of confidence and self-worth.” They add that in order to really fall in love with someone, people have to feel “equally fascinated by their partner’s mental qualities.” I totally agree.

Reading through this list, you don’t have to possess all these qualities. “No one person can have every good quality — but every person does have some good qualities,” notes Goodgoodgood.co. “We each have an opportunity and an obligation to continue to grow and improve ourselves.” They add that learning these is part of one’s journey towards self-discovery.

Traits That Irresistible People Have

Now, let’s get into the list of traits that irresistible people have. Note that these traits are attractive in both men and women. They’re just universal. Of course, I would always start with the golden rule, to treat others how you would like to be treated. That’s definitely an important character trait to possess and one that’s always a winner. I personally believe being a good person is sexy and attractive.

1. Confidence
Of course irresistible people are confident in themselves. “Everyone becomes more attractive when they feel good about themselves,” says Ameliamiazy.medium.com. It’s true. Flaunt your awesome self.

Being confident is a big bonus.
2. Kindness
Being kind is attractive. Sure, it may be trite to say that girls always go for the “bad boys.” That’s fun at first, but it gets old really fast. “Countless studies have found that altruism, kindness, supportiveness, and empathy are what we look for most in someone and find most desirable,” states HackSpirit.com.

Kindness is a wonderful thing.
3. Fun-Loving
Why’s everything so serious? Life can be difficult, so having a fun-loving outlook can really be a breath of fresh air. “Playful people enjoy teasing, wordplay, improvising and taking challenges in a light-hearted way,” says Spring.org.uk. “They enjoy unusual things and are good at creating situations people can enjoy.”
4. Positivity
You don’t have to be annoying chipper all the time, but being a positive person can go a long way. There’s already so much negativity in the world. Why add to it? Having positive energy is always a good thing.

Having a sense of humor isn’t just about being funny. It’s about enjoying other people who are funny, too. People definitely find having a sense of humor attractive, whether you’re cracking your own hilarious jokes or enjoying others.

Being open-minded and non-judgmental is welcoming to people. Everyone loves feeling accepted. So, when you meet new people and are a listening ear to people currently in your life, remember not to judge. 7. Being Honest
Being honest, of course, is a great character trait. People love honesty. Of course, that doesn’t mean telling someone you hate their new haircut. It does mean being upfront about who you are with the people you love.

Don’t change your personality to try to become more “irresistible.” There’s nothing more attractive than being you. But, be aware of these positive traits and lean on the ones that you already possess. In the end, being irresistible to people is about being friendly and yourself, and these traits can help you get there.
