South Carolina is Getting 2 New Airline Routes
Travel season is up ahead, and that means a lot of Americas will be flying. A new airline is debuting two new South Carolina airline routes, so locals will have one more way to get to paradise. Even though we are already paradise, it doesn’t hurt to have another way to get south.
Breeze Airlines Debuting New Airline Routes
The new airline is Breeze Airways. They started service in May 2021. They’re already a favorite, as Breeze was recently voted the No. 4 best domestic airline by Travel + Leisure magazine. For that poll, the magazine asked readers “to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe” and “to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines and more.” A whopping 165,000 readers completed the 2023 survey and cast a total of more than 685,000 votes. They loved Breeze’s cabin comfort, in-flight service, customer service and value. Currently, Breeze offers around 170 year-round and seasonal nonstop routes between 56 cities in 29 states, according to their website. They also state that they offer “nonstop service between underserved routes across the U.S. at affordable fares. With seamless booking and customized flight features, Breeze makes it easy to buy and easy to fly.”
Breeze Airways has already been in South Carolina offering airline routes for a while. Now, they’re adding some additonal important airline routes. Starting May 10, Breeze will offer flights to and from the Tampa International Airport. Those flights include to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Fridays and Sundays and to Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina, Mondays and Fridays. These are seasonal. With these added flights, the airline will offer 23 nonstop destinations from Tampa and two “BreezeThru” stops. Breeze Airways will also offer nonstop routes to and from Tampa to Orange County, California; Bangor, Maine; and Pensacola, Florida. So, this airline is growing quickly. They’re also focused on seasonal travel. “We’re thrilled to announce two more routes to our expanding network from Tampa, now at 23 destinations,” Breeze Airways president Tom Doxey said in a statement. “With Breeze’s added convenience and affordability, our business model continues to see success in cities across the country like Tampa.” Find more added flights here.
The folks behind Breeze also recently announced a loyalty program that will offer customers the chance to purchase premium perks such as airfare and trip add-ons, seating, additional checked bags and inflight snacks. It’s great to see a new airline pop up and offer fresh airline routes out of smaller cities, to help with the busy travel season.
