With Easter weekend on the way, the City of Fayetteville closures and schedule changes in observance of Good Friday have been announced. All government offices in Fayetteville will be closed on Friday, and many public services throughout the city are changing their schedule to accommodate the holiday. These services include the Fayetteville Police Department, Solid Waste Division, Fayetteville Regional Airport, Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST), and Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.

Fayetteville Police Department

The main police station front lobby and records unit will be closed March 29. Fayetteville residents are still encouraged to use 911 to report suspicious activities and emergencies. You can also file a police report online in lieu of going to the station. The station's Crimestoppers service will still be active on Good Friday as well. Call (910) 483-4877 or visit p3tips.com to submit anonymous tips.

Solid Waste Division Fayetteville Closures

Friday's garbage and yard waste will be collected on March 29, as will the recycling. You shouldn't see much interruption to the Waste Division's usual operations.

Fayetteville Regional Airport

Airport administrative offices will be closed on Good Friday. Travelers are encouraged to contact airlines directly for any questions or concerns regarding holiday travel or flight schedules. You can visit Fayetteville Airport's website for airline contact information or to make reservations.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST)

FAST will operate as normal on Good Friday as well as Saturday. However, FAST will not be in service on Easter Sunday March 31, so adjust your  travel plans accordingly.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Rec offices will be closed March 29 for Good Friday. Rec centers will run on an abbreviated schedule that day from 10am-4pm. All parks, trails, and green space areas will still remain open and fully accessible to the public.
