Pledge of Allegiance on WKML From April 1-5 – Featuring New Century Elementary School and More
Every week, we’re honored to bring you the Pledge of Allegiance on air weekday mornings at 7 a.m. We’re honored to have local children and schools help us with the Pledge, and we also want to take this time to celebrate unique news and notes about patriotic things. So read on for a patriotic tidbit, and then listen to all of our Pledge of Allegiance from the week!
Have you ever wondered when the President dials 911, exactly where does the phone ring? The answer would be Fort Liberty, North Carolina. We are honored to live in the backyard of Fort Liberty and Pope Army Airfield. Our neighborhood of heroes in uniform are willing at a moments notice, to travel anywhere in the world to defend the freedoms that we often take for granted.
Now let me ask, how long has it been since you visited downtown Fayetteville? If it’s been a few years, you have to come on back. Downtown Fayetteville has a ton to see and do. If I had to recommend one place to visit when you’re in downtown Fayetteville, it would have to be the United States ArmyAirborne and Special Operations Museum.
The address is 100 Bragg Boulevard right at the corner of Bragg and Hay Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. The museum is closed on Monday.
Admission to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum is absolutely free. However, if you would like to make a donation, know that it will be very much appreciated.
For those that have any type of mobility issue, all exhibits are handicap accessible. The museum has wheelchairs on-site that are available on a first come first serve basis. Handicap parking is available near the entrance to the Airborne Museum as well.
So, take time to visit downtown Fayetteville’s U.S. Army Special Operations Museum along with the historic Amtrak Station, Segra Stadium, take in a Fayetteville Woodpeckers game, visit Festival Park and the Market House, etc.. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
The BIG 95.7 WKML is proud to present the Pledge of Allegiance every single weekday morning at 7 a.m.
