Carly Pearce Takes The Blame In New Song
Carly Pearce is releasing her new hummingbird album next month. Ahead of its June 7 arrival, Carly has released a new song called “fault line.” She wrote the new song with big Nashville songwriters Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally, and Jordan Reynolds.
Peace said of the new tune, “Some of my favorite songs were in the era of Tammy Wynette and George Jones, ‘fault line’ is my take on writing one of those classic, ‘I’m gonna rip your head off’ country songs. The playful angst in this song makes it one of my favorite moments on the record.”
Carly also released the song’s accompanying video.
hummingbird marks Pearce’s debut as a co-producer. The 14-track collection features her GRAMMY-nominated single, “we don’t fight anymore,” featuring Chris Stapleton.

Pearce was recently taken aback by a budding young singer on stage while opening one of Tim McGraw’s “Standing Room Only Tour” shows at a recent show in Seattle. She didn’t know how good she would be when she brought the fan up to sing.
The Moment
Carly posted a video clip of the impromptu moment when she asked a fan on stage to sing her GRAMMY-winning duet “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.” The young girl hit the stage and didn’t miss a beat, singing the song along with the county star as Pearce showed how impressed she was with her facial expressions.
She captioned the post on Instagram, “Y’all meet Sydney. Tonight at the show in Seattle, she had a sign that said, ‘Can I sing Never Wanted To Be That Girl with you?’ I didn’t see it until the end of my set, and on a whim, asked her if she knew the words to What He Didn’t Do… then this happened. Hey Sydney, you reminded me tonight of what dreams are made of. (And also, look at her go!!!!!!!!”
