Kane Brown Appreciates Luke Combs For This
Before the ACM Awards show in May, Luke Combs was asked if he would remove himself from the Entertainer category, who he thought should win the top honor in 2024. His answer was Kane Brown. He said that he believed Brown had never received the recognition he deserved.
When we interviewed Kane recently during CMA a few weeks ago, we told the singer about the support from Combs. He told us, “I thought that was very sweet of him to say that. I actually thanked him and told him that you, but I told him he’s full of s—. He said, ‘No man, I was just speaking from the heart.'”
He added, “So, I appreciate him. I just look at awards as something I am glad to be nominated for and everybody on that list deserved to win. I just knew that I wasn’t going to take it, but it was cool for Luke to say that.”
Of course, Lainey Wilson won the Entertainer of the Year honor from the ACM this year. It was her first nomination and win in the category.

Brown and his family are getting closer each day to the arrival of their third child, a boy.
When we talked with Kane recently, he gave us an update on how his toddler daughters are preparing for their new arrival. He said, “I don’t have to prepare the girls. They’re so mom-oriented already. They absolutely love the fact that we’re having a third. They’ve already got his nursery all set up.”
As for himself prepping, he continued, “Preparing to be a boy dad, I’m just ready to coach a baseball team or something like that. I’m excited. Kingsley just got her first set of golf clubs yesterday, so we went up and hit on the golf simulator.”
The country star concluded, “Right now, they’re in gymnastics and dance and swim. So, me playing basketball, football, and running track, it’s hard for me to get into that sort of stuff, but it’s cool to watch them.”
