Burglar Accidentally Takes Selfie With Victim’s iPhone
I think we can all agree that often those that choose a life of crime may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer. From the City of Angeles, Los Angeles police are asking for your help. On July 11, 2024, a thief decided to break into a home in the Venice Beach area. Sadly, the homeowner mistakenly left the door unlocked. Fortunately for police, they have a pretty good photo of the suspect who is identified as a black male wearing a dark colored hat. To the thief, while leaving the scene of your break-in, thank you for taking a selfie using the victim’s iPhone. Thank goodness two 15-year-old girls and a woman who were at home at the time were not harmed. Police are confident they will apprehend their suspect.
Stealing Chicken From Kids
You may be thinking, no one would steal chicken from a kid. Indeed, it did happen. From the Land of Lincoln, a woman from Harvey, Illinois, Vera Liddell admitted to the crime of stealing chicken wings from the school district that she worked for. Liddell works as a food service director and was suspected and later admitted to stealing 11,000 cases of chicken wings. The theft was worth $1.5 million. Now that’s a lot of chicken wings. Liddell is now going to prison for the next 9 years.
