Fayetteville Community Honoring the Legacy of Johnnie VonCannon With Memorial Ride

On Saturday, October 19, you are invited to participate in the Johnnie VonCannon Memorial Ride.

This Memorial Ride honors a beloved member of our community, Johnnie VonCannon. Johnnie lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on August 27, 2024.

The ride will begin at 10 a.m. at Arran Lake Baptist Church and will travel to the world-famous South of the Border, a popular regional landmark for over 70 years.

Arran Lake Baptist Church is located at 1130 Bingham Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina. South of the Border is located along Interstate 95-U.S. 301-501 in Hamer, South Carolina.

Bikes and cars are welcome to partipate in the ride.

The cost will be only $20.00 per rider. Donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated. For those who prefer to use Cashapp, $acutler90.

All of the money raised will go towards the many medical bills that the family has been left with.

The Memorial Ride will not be on Interstate 95. The ride will use the areas relaxing backroads while traveling to South of the Border.

Once at South of the Border, riders can have lunch if they choose to.
