Holiday Lights Event Returns in December at Cape Fear Botanical Garden

Holiday Lights at the Garden returns to Cape Fear Botanical Garden from Dec. 5 through Dec. 22, 2025, on select nights. Thousands of lights and displays will transform the 536 N Eastern Blvd location in Fayetteville into a winter wonderland.

Santa and the Grinch will greet visitors. Interactive light displays and animations will fill the grounds, creating a magical experience for all ages.

Families can snap photos at designated spots. Holiday music plays while guests wander through the illuminated paths.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. A vendor market offers holiday gifts.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. on event nights. Once inside, guests can stay as long as they wish.

Thursday, Dec. 11, is Dog Night. Leashed dogs can join their owners on this night only.

Ticket prices fluctuate depending on the day and time slot. Pre-purchased tickets guarantee entry, while walk-up tickets may not be available if the event sells out.

Timed entry slots help manage wait times for parking and entry. Walk-up tickets, when available, cost more than advance purchases.

Cape Fear Valley Health sponsors the event. Kids First Pediatrics of Raeford & Fayetteville, LaFayette Ford, Caviness & Cates, and Woodland Building Solutions also contribute support. Olde Fayetteville Insurance, DK Taylor Oil/Springer Energy, PWC, Mosca Designs, Cintas, Ward Productions, and Arts Council of Fayetteville Cumberland County provide additional sponsorship.

The attraction has become a Fayetteville tradition. This marks another year the seasonal display returns to the garden.
