The 26th annual Rotary Christmas Parade in Fayetteville is set for Saturday, December 13, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Fayetteville. It kicks off on Person Street, heads to Hay Street, and festivities will continue until noon.
The Rotary Club and Rotary International are behind the parade, showcasing their commitment to the community. The event aligns with Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self," with several local Rotary chapters joining this year’s event.
Beginning in 1999 with about 50 participants, the parade now regularly features over 100 entries. It draws not just locals but also folks from nearby areas.
This year, Roosevelt Pratt, Jr. and the Salvation Army of the Sandhills will be Grand Marshals, featuring role models that inspire young people. Pratt, once the director of the E.E. Smith High School Marching Band, led his students to numerous awards over 28 years. The Salvation Army is well-known for its holiday efforts like the Red Kettles and Angel Tree.
Pratt's band, the "Magnificent Marching Machine," frequently took part in previous parades. His selection as Grand Marshal acknowledges his influence on music education. The Salvation Army has been a local presence since 1887, supporting initiatives like the Angel Tree Program and other charitable activities.
The 2025 parade expects over 125 entries, including local bands, dance groups, and more. Andrea Young, Rotary District 7730 Governor, will be among the attendees, along with attractions like motorcycles and Ville City Jeeps.
