On today’s Talkback, we continued with Part 2 of our discussion with City Management of Fayetteville on the status, plans for growth, challenges we face as the citizens who live, work and exist in the influence of Fayetteville, North Carolina – our state’s FIFTH LARGEST CITY.  Last week we heard from City Manager Doug Hewitt, and two of 3 key assistant city managers (Jeff Yates on Human Resources and city staff job opportunity areas and Kelli Olivera on Financial Planning and Analysis). Today we continued with City Chief of Staff Jodi Phelps, and feature Assistant City Manager Adam Lindsey on Intrastructure and building projects. 

Today’s Talkback also us our meeting this year’s new Chairman of Cumberland County’s Board of Commissioners – Dr. Toni Stewart. She’s one of three District Two Commissioners and has been on the board only three years, but we quickly learned her congenial, inclusive style combined with an eagerness to take important issues head on are just two of the reasons the board was selected to be chairperson.  I was going to ease into Cumberland County’s water quality discussions with chemical manufacturer Chemours but, as you’ll hear, she jumped right in!
