Today is Sunday, January 14th, the 14th day of this leap year of 366 days, with 352 days left in 2024!
On this edition of Talkback, an update from PWC’s Carolyn Justice Hinson on ways to save money heating your home during periods of cold weather we’ve had throughout the last of 2023 and now stretching into 2024. And news that you’ve still got time to get your Christmas tree – with all tinsel, ornamants and lights removed – to the Fayetteville Community Gardens. The 30th annual Grinding of the Greens WAS to have taken place yesterday the 13th at the corner of Van Story and Mann Streets of Old Wilmington Road, but the anticipation of inclement weather led to an indefinite postponement. They haven’t yet announced which day they’ll make mulch for Fayetteville and Cumberland County parks….but you’ll still got time to deliver your Christmas tree to the Fayetteville Community Garden.
(Fayetteville Public Works Commission Communications and Community Outreach Officer) Carloyn Justice Hinson explains more….
