Today, we celebrate the 113th birthday of legendary actor John Wayne. The Duke – real name Marion Michael Morrison – was born on May 26, 1907 and died on June 11, 1979.
He appeared in more than 170 films during his career and was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He was nominated for three Academy Awards, and won one for his 1969 film, True Grit.
