Khaby Lame has shot to stardom as the most followed person on TikTok.

Khaby Lame is now the most followed person on TikTok, and the climb to be King has been a silent one.

Lame (pronounced Lah-MAY) has 143.3 million followers on TikTok, passing Charli D’Amelio recently. And if you’re a TikTok user, while you may not know his name, you definitely know Lame’s face.

The videos that Lame has skyrocketed to fame on are completely silent on his part. He posts reactions to life hack videos that make no sense, using his priceless facial expressions to show how simple the things could be. (It’s way funnier to just watch them.)

The 22-year-old from Senegal started using TikTok during the pandemic (didn’t most everyone), and stumbled into the niche content he has risen to fame on.

“I came up with the idea because I was seeing these videos circulating, and I liked the idea of bringing some simplicity to it,” Lame told CNN. ” I thought of a way to reach as many people as possible. And the best way was not to speak.”

His videos now routinely have anywhere from 10 million to over 220 million views in some cases. His content has evolved from just the reaction videos, and he now does silent comedy bits as well.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite Khaby Lame videos.
