Boy oh boy has Lauren Alaina come a long way since her days on American Idol, and now she’s coming to Fayetteville for Stars & Guitars!

But before Monday night’s show, we thought you should get a little prep in, by listening to some of our favorites from the pun queen.

First, a little rewind: Lauren was the runner-up on season 10 of American Idol. She lost out to some kid named Scotty McCreery, so it wasn’t all that bad.

Lauren got her first taste of radio success with her first single off her opening album, as “Georgia Peaches” reached No. 34 on the Country Airplay chart. That was on the heels of her American Idol single, “Like My Mother Does,” which was certified Gold.

Fast forward 5 years, and Lauren nabbed her first No. 1 single, with the epic “Road Less Traveled,” which has gone Platinum.

The very next year, Lauren was back on top of the charts, singing along-side a friend from high school – Kane Brown – on his 7-times Platinum single, “What Ifs.”

Lauren has had two other No. 1 singles as a featured artist. First is “One Beer” with HARDY and Devin Dawson, and second is “Thinking About You” with Dustin Lynch.

It’s been quite a career run so far for Lauren, and a record label change this year is likely to propel her to even greater heights.

So let’s look at the 5 songs you need to know before Lauren Alaina is here in Fayetteville on Monday night.

  • 1. Bar Back

Nothing beats a good break-up song. Lauren slays this one that should be a permanent fixture on your playlists.

  • 2. Road Less Traveled

Lauren is an absolute champion of empowering women, and this song (and video) has easily become her signature hit.

  • 3. What Do You Think Of? (With Lukas Graham)

This song quietly snuck out there during the pandemic, and it’s arguably the best thing she’s ever done.

  • 4. Doin' Fine

The absolute best LA song to pump up as loud as possible with your windows down in the car, screaming at the top of your lungs. Things are always gonna get better, and Lauren shows it with “Doin’ Fine.”

  • 5. Getting Over Him (Feat. Jon Pardi)

Lauren getting herself into some rebound trouble with Jon Pardi, is the bop we didn’t know we needed.
