Let me take you back to the year 2009 and the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair. I remember the moment my WKML phone rang and fair board member Tom Taylor said, "Don, we got Jeff Cook." I responded with, "Jeff Cook of Alabama?" Tom said yes.

The big night arrived and so did Jeff Cook and his All Star Band. What a great night for those attending The Robeson County Fair and for The BIG 957 WKML.

Shortly after that appearance, Jeff was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

You may have heard the sad news that guitar extraordinaire Jeff Cook, one of the founding members of the supergroup Alabama passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Jeff was 73.

One thing I did not know was that Jeff and his wife Lisa developed a foundation to assist those battling Parkinson's. For more information or to donate, click here
