Oh hi there! I’m happy to bring back another Monday Playlist for you to indulge in. And trust me, your ears will thank you.
Dylan Marlowe was kind enough to perform at our Stars & Guitars in early November, and I’ve been keeping my ears open to his music since discovering him earlier this year. He’s written for other artists you know and love but is making a path of his own. Some people just have “IT”… and you don’t always know what “IT” is. Dylan has “IT”! I can see him taking this format by storm and delivering hit after hit. He’s kind, he’s talented and he’s got a great mind for writing and singing country music. He teamed up with another famous Dylan we know and love and made a smash!
Cody Johnson’s latest album Leather dropped November 3rd. The best part is it’s an easy listen. Cody is so distinctly country and can make any song sound like the personal anthem you’ve been craving. When I listened to the album for the first time top to bottom, the song Dirt Cheap hit me emotionally in ways I did not see coming! I highly recommend not driving or operating heavy machinery while listening to this particular song. The tears were flowing pretty quickly! But man is it worth it for this man’s voice to tell you a story.
And lastly, Dustin Lynch also recently released a new album Killed The Cowboy, with the first song being of the same name. I loved this sound for Dustin. It’s so different from other songs he’s put out and the production was a standout. It definitely provides the sultry, mysterious feeling. Along with the message of Killed The Cowboy, it’s just a great great song from Dustin Lynch.
