This weekend WWE is taking the road to WrestleMania down under for Elimination Chamber, live in Perth, Australia! And as I always do for big WWE shows, I’m going to flex my wrestling expertise and predict the match outcomes with 100% “Perth-ect” accuracy. You know, because that’s worked out SO well for me in the past.

As the name suggests, this Saturday six men and women will step into the dreaded elimination chamber, one of the most brutal and unforgiving structures in wrestling history. The chamber has been inflicting unimaginable pain on wrestlers for over two decades, and it shows no sign of stopping heading into this weekend.

There’s high stakes going into both chamber matches this year. The winner of the men’s chamber match will go on to face World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins for the gold at WrestleMania. Likewise, the last superstar standing in the women’s chamber match will also punch their ticket to ‘Mania and compete for the Women’s World Championship.

Speaking of the Women’s Champ, Rhea Ripley is also set to defend her belt against the formidable Nia Jax. And in a rare occurrence for the Aussie superstar, Ripley will likely enjoy a hero’s welcome from her homeland fans. Get ready Australia; Mami’s coming home!

Although the matches are sure to bring no shortage of thrills and entertainment, one of the most anticipated events of the show is ironically a talk show segment. Hot off the heels of challenging Roman Reigns to a WrestleMania rematch, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will join Seth Rollins on the Grayson Waller Effect, hosted by the Australian loudmouth Grayson Waller.

Tensions between Rhodes and the Bloodline are nearing critical mass, with the fan favorite firmly in the crosshairs of Roman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and now The Rock. Rollins has offered his services to help neutralize the threat of the Bloodline should Cody need it, but with Waller being a notorious pot-stirrer, who knows what will be said on the talk show that could possibly disrupt those plans?

With a shot at WrestleMania glory hanging in the balance, who will we see emerge victorious at Elimination Chamber: Perth? And more importantly, will I be disciplined and committed enough to wake up at 5am to watch the show live? I have all the answers below!

  • The Judgment Day (c) vs. New Catch Republic - Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

    My pick: Judgment Day

This could be a sleeper hit for match of the night, in my opinion. As much chemistry as Pete Dunne and longtime frenemy Tyler Bate have as opponents, they mesh just as seamlessly as tag team partners. I think the hard-hitting duo will be Finn Balor and Damian Priest’s toughest test to date as they defend their WWE tag team gold.

But the numbers speak for themselves. Balor and Priest will likely be flanked by their fellow Judgment Day goons Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, which could be too much for New Catch Republic to subdue. Expect Judgment Day to hold the gold heading in to WrestleMania.

  • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax - Women's World Championship

    My pick: Rhea Ripley

While WWE certainly has a history of performers losing in their hometowns, I just don’t see it happening in this case. Rhea Ripley is without a doubt one of the most dominant champions in the history of women’s wrestling, if not THE most dominant. And while Nia Jax is certainly no slouch in the dominance department either, I don’t see her overwhelming the champion, especially when Ripley has over 60,000 of her countrymen cheering her on.

As Rhea Ripley is happy to remind everyone at every opportunity, Mami is always on top. That won’t change in Perth.

  • Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Naomi vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Tiffany Stratton - Women's Elimination Chamber Match

    My pick: Becky Lynch

I had the hardest time choosing a winner for this match. All six competitors have a legitimate shot at winning, including the newcomer from NXT Tiffany Stratton and the returning Naomi. And I personally believe Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley for the championship has WrestleMania main event written all over it.

But I’m picking with my brain, not my heart. Therefore, I see “The Man” Becky Lynch emerging victorious to challenge Rhea on the grandest stage of them all. Mami vs. The Man is money!

  • Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kevin Owens vs. Logan Paul vs. Bobby Lashley vs. LA Knight - Men's Elimination Chamber Match

    My pick: Drew McIntyre

McIntyre also spent much of last year in pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship, making a number of moral compromises along the way. And now it seems that he’s fallen off the deep end on his path to immortality, to the point where, by his own admission, he’s literally praying for people’s downfall.

And this Saturday I believe Drew’s villain era will prove fruitful as he claymores his way to victory in the Men’s Elimination Chamber, securing yet another shot at the current champion Seth Rollins.

  • BONUS MATCH: KC vs. The Show's 5am Start Time

    My pick: Start Time

Look, I LOVE pro-wrestling. I’ve been to countless live events, I’ve dutifully watched every pay-per-view for over a decade, half of my wardrobe is wrestling t-shirts and replica championship belts.

All that said, there is no way I’m waking up at 5am – on a SATURDAY – to watch this show live. It’s not my fault the entire continent of Australia is in the wrong hemisphere. However I will still do my due diligence and avoid spoilers on the internet until I’m able to watch every match, which shouldn’t be that hard as long as AT&T keeps bugging out.

  • How To Watch

You can watch WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth Saturday, February 24, 5 a.m. ET, only on Peacock!
