The Turnpike Troubadours Canceled Remaining Performances On The “Bandwagon Tour”
Over the weekend, we reported Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker had seemingly split.
In a recent interview with the Tennessean, Lambert revealed that she was single.
In truth, she didn’t outwardly address rumors that her and Felker had split as their relationship was never actually confirmed.
Photos of the two had surfaced in recent months, and they did indeed look like a couple at the time.
But interestingly, around the same time the interview surfaced, Saving Country released an article saying the Turnpike Troubadours had jumped ship from the final dates of Miranda’s tour.
As you know, Felker is the lead singer of Turnpike Troubadours.
Apparently, the band did not open for Miranda during the last two shows, on August 23 and August 24.
According to a statement from the band’s publicist, they experienced some major family emergencies and needed to be home.
Hmmm … interesting timing.
While Felker’s now ex wife, Staci, has been unusually quiet on her Instagram account, she has continued to post Instagram stories — So it’s not likely the “family emergency” had anything to do with her.
While it’s possible the “emergency” stemmed from another band member, it’s also very likely that Evan didn’t want to perform on stage due to the breakup.
It’s not clear what led to Evan and Miranda calling it quits, but we do know Miranda often uses her breakups as fuel for new material — So perhaps we’ll find out what really happened on her next album.
Stay tuned …
