Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard To Produce LoCash
Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard is producing fellow country duo LoCash’s latest album.
The duos are usually up against each other in the duo categories at award show, but they have been friends for years. LoCash’s Chris Lucas shares, “Tyler is our producer and we’ve written a couple songs on the album with him. One was ‘Brothers’ which is the title track to the album. He’s been a friend for a long time, me and B.K (Brian Kelley) have been watching each other’s growth and as we get bigger and bigger.”
Lucas adds, “When we started with Tyler we were always writing with him but when he asked to be our producer, we really had to step back and say ‘Okay, wait a minute, he is our friend, but it is another duo and it is competition and we didn’t think Tyler was that guy, but was he really gonna give us 100 percent? And he’s given us 150 percent in this project. He’s a great human being and there’s a very very good friendship there.”
So will the duos ever collaborate? Preston Brust says, “We’ve talked about it and we thought we had the song on this project and we all sort of lived with it and listened to it and at the time it just didn’t feel like the moment quite yet. So, we sat back and waited but you never know.”
LoCash’s new “Brothers” album will be available on March 29.
