Circle of Concern, Circle of Influence. How To Remain Calm and Focused Now.
I am a big fan of the book, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. One area deals with the circle of concern and the circle of influence.
On a sheet of paper draw a large circle. Then inside that circle draw a much smaller circle. In the small circle list the things you can actually control. Things
like: Your attitude, your work ethic, how you treat your family, your finances and so on.
In the larger circle list all the the things, over which you have no control like: Corona Virus, The Stock Market, Lack of necessities in stores and so on.
Focus entirely on those items in the small circle. Avoid the items in the large circle to the extent that you can. It’s not easy, I’ve been working on this for years. But the more
you focus on the small circle, the less you worry about the large circle and you will become more focused and it will help relieve the stress of what’s going on in the world right now.
(it works when things are normal too)
