‘Hobbs & Shaw’: New Trailer is Ridiculous Action Movie Fun
If ever there was a movie that could make the over-the-top nature ofĀ The ExpendablesĀ franchise lookĀ pedestrian by comparison, it might just beĀ Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
The latest trailer from theĀ Fast & FuriousĀ spin-off was just released, and while it certainly brings the action, it also brings a hefty dose of comedy thanks toĀ Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham.)Ā The film’s premise centers around Shaw’s sister, Hattie (Vanessa Kirby), who has stolen a virus from the film’s villain Brixton Lore (Idris Elba.)
Add in the incomparable Helen Mirren as the Shaw matriarch, Magdalene, and WWE superstar Roman Reigns in his major film debut, and you have the recipe for some serious fun at the movies this summer.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & ShawĀ opens in theaters August 2.
