The 124th U.S. Open starts this week at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, and to get ready a new Fan Central entry plaza has been built for patrons.
Anchored by the recently moved Payne Stewart statue, the Fan Central plaza is near Gate 1 alongside Pinehurst No. 2. It features a host of amenities as everyone enters the course.
Sponsor activations for Ally, American Express, Lexus and more line the plaza, as well as the massive merchandise pavilion. The merchandise shop is 35,000 square feet, with over 400,000 branded products.
You also get a reminder of the recent U.S. Open winners, and the history of the Open at Pinehurst. There’s also an incredible USGA Museum Experience.
And this is all before you see a single green or fairway at the course.
