Dolly Parton seems larger than life, but the fact is, when she’s not wearing her many six-inch high heels, she stands just 5 feet tall. She’s one of country music’s smallest standing superstars.

Even with her high heels, it’s evident she’s small when she stands next to many of her country music counterparts like Reba McEntire, who is 5’8, or even Carrie Underwood, who stands just 5’3 without heels.

I know from personal experience that when Parton enters a room, the last thing you think about is her small stature as she fills every room she walks into with her charm and presence. Still, when you really take a look at her, she is tiny; while her hair and other famous features are quite large, her waist is very small, as are her legs, and her shoe size must be a five or six.

We got thinking, what are some things the same size as the country icon we use daily? So, we came up with a list of things around your home that are the same height as Dolly Parton.

Most of us have one in our living rooms or somewhere around the house. Take a look at it; it’s right around the height of Dolly.

That’s about five feet tall. Any higher, and Dolly would have a hard time getting the star on top.

We all have one of these at home and take it out when friends come over for games or maybe even for the kids’ table at Thanksgiving. It doesn’t seem that big, and neither is Dolly.

  • A medium-sized step ladder

Some of these are much taller, but this handy ladder works perfectly when you have a small job and don’t have to be too high to reach something.

Many of these are lying around the house at any given time. We need them all the time with all the stuff we have to plug in. The next time you use this to plug in your record player to spin a Dolly vinyl, think of just how tiny the country icon stands when she’s not wearing her signature high heels.
