Keith Urban: ‘Patriotism Can Remind Everybody Of Our Unity’
Coming to Nashville from his native New Zealand, Keith Urban had to work to become an American citizen.
He recently spoke to us about what being a citizen means to him. “It’s common shared beliefs and identity. And I think at its core, it’s an incredibly strengthening, vital thing for our people to have, and it’s particularly gratifying in the midst of so much separating of ideas that it can get fractious. And it’s kind of nice that a sense of patriotism can remind everybody of the unity.”
Urban sang our National Anthem in 2017 at a Nashville Predators Hockey Game.
Keith Urban will celebrate Independence Day by performing at Provo, Utah’s America’s Freedom Festival.
