Brett Young’s ‘Catch’ Nods To His Baseball Career
Brett Young’s latest radio single “Catch” is a bit of art imitating life as Young was a semi-pro baseball player.
Brett says, “Having spent so much of my life playing baseball, and if you’ve seen the music video, you know there’s kind of a nod to my baseball past as well, and so it’s a really fun one.”
Young’s latest album, Ticket to L.A., is full of a lot of songs that could have been the follow up single to his number one song “Here Tonight,” but Brett says, “I think for us it was the obvious choice for a single just because of the kind of relentless chorus melody and feel-good nature of the song in general.”
Brent is playing shows on the fair and festival touring circuit this summer with shows this weekend in Michigan.
