Kristin Chenoweth Records ‘I Will Always Love You’ with Dolly Parton

Broadway and film star Kristin Chenoweth has a new album out that brings together her favorite female singers, from Barbra Streisand to Linda Ronstadt to Dolly Parton.

Dubbed For the Girls, the album is a tribute to the artists that have personally influenced Chenoweth throughout her life.

The first release is “I Will Always Love You,” sung with Dolly Parton. Kristin told ET Online, “These are some of my favorite singers in the world. ‘I Will Always Love You’ is a song I’ve loved since I was a child. I used to think, ‘One day I’m going to sing that song.’ Little did I know that I’d get to sing it with the queen herself.”

Parton herself posted to Instagram, “I was so honored to join the beautiful and talented @kchenoweth on her upcoming album #ForTheGirls.”

For the Girls is set for release on September 27.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
