Lindsay Ell Joins Nashville Protest: ‘We Have To Start Speaking Up’
Lindsay Ell feels so passionate about protesting the death of George Floyd and what’s going on in our country in the last week, that she took a sign and went to downtown Nashville to stand with the protesters this weekend.
Lindsay posted a picture of herself at the protest saying, “Silence isn’t solving anything… Today I went downtown to be a part of a rally because everything going on in our country right now isn’t right. For the family of George Floyd, and to the black community as a whole, my heart breaks for you.”
She added, “We have to start speaking up and teaching each other there is only one kind of love. Racism is a learned behavior and we are far too educated of a society to let this injustice continue to happen. Let’s use our voices to instill change in the heart off equality and love. We’re not trying to start a race war, we’re trying to end one. #blacklivesmatter Also, burning police cars and violence is NOT the answer.”
A couple of her fellow artists cheered her on Instagram as Mickey Guyton reacted, “Yes! Thank you! This looks good on you!”
Brad Paisley’s wife Kimberly William Paisley also reacted simply saying, “Yes!”
