Backstage Country Host – Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini came to everyone’s attention in 2014 when she released her debut album and Taylor Swift became a fan posting on social media that she loved this newcomer’s work. Her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” made her the first female artist to send a debut single to the top of that chart since Carrie Underwood in 2006.
In 2015, Kelsea won two awards, one for the ACM’s New Female Vocalist of the Year and Billboard’s Rising Star award.
Ballerini’s sophomore project Unapologetically was released in 2017 and she scored a few more visits to the top of the country charts. Also, during that time period, Kelsea became a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was mentor on NBC’s The Voice.
Her third album named Kelsea, released in early 2020, now has a counterpart in the release of Ballerini an album of the same songs as Kelsea done with different emotions.
