Janson's team posted to his Facebook page: "Attention: Please DO not talk to anyone on here posing as Chris Janson. You will NOT get a DM from Chris, his team or anyone on Facebook. People are scamming, sending fake messages. Report & block immediately."
It's worth mentioning that artists (and their teams) very rarely reach out to fans on social media. If you get a DM that appears to be from an artist (or even an artist's management team) you'd be wise to be suspicious about it.
