Dolly Parton’s TikTok Account Was A Fake, Now Deleted
We are disappointed to report that Dolly Parton’s supposed Tik Tok account was actually a fake and that the country icon is not on the social media platform.
The TikTok handle “it’s Dolly Parton” was taken down, citing impersonation.
The video of her welcoming fans to the platform was doctored from a video she posted on her other socials during the pandemic promoting her literacy program asking fans to join her as she read a story.
The video on Tik Tok that we reported on originally got over five million views, and the fake account had over 100,000 subscribers in just under a day.
Dolly’s social media presence is on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook only.
Dolly Parton Is Always Smiling
Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
