Joe Jonas: Where He Stands With Ex Taylor Swift After 15 Years
Another one of Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriends is letting it be known that there’s no “bad blood” between them. Joe Jonas, who dated Swift briefly 15 years ago, spoke up about their relationship today in a new interview with Dax Shepard. After just a few months of dating in 2008, Joe famously broke up with the singer-songwriter via a 25-second-long phone call.
As we previously reported, Jonas alleged following their breakup that Swift was the one who hung up on him. “Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk,” he said. Now, Joe, 33, said that is took some time for the Swifties to forgive him. He said, “I hope to think they like me. No one f—s with the Swifties, you know?” The Jonas Brother, who inspired Taylor’s “Forever & Always” added, “It’s been many, many years removed.”

As for where he stands with Taylor, Joe said, “I’m cool with Taylor. We’re cool.” Even Swift feels the same way. Back in 2019, she told Ellen DeGeneres that her most rebellious teenage act was “Probably when I, like, put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy.”
Moving On
During her appearance, she added, “Someday, I’m going to find someone really, really great who’s right for me. When I look at the person, I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”
“It’s something that I was probably feeling pretty bad about when I was younger,” the “Cake By The Ocean” singer said in a 2019 interview on Lorraine. “At the end of the day, I’ve moved on. I’m sure Taylor’s moved on. It feels nice. We’re all friends. It’s all good. We were so young.”
