Little Big Town Expects a ‘Feel-Good’ Show At People’s Choice Awards
The members of Little Big Town are excited to host the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards this Thursday night (9/28).
LBT’s Jimi Westbrook told us, “I think what we’re looking forward to most in the People’s Choice Country Awards are bringing the party to Nashville, first of all. It’s the first ever of this. Coming to the Opry, bringing them to the historical home of country music and the performances. It’s always a fun night when we get everybody from the genre together and hang out and celebrate each other.”
Phillip Sweet says, “I don’t know what we can reveal other than it’s going to be a feel-good night. It’s going to feel like coming back home in a way. And I think people just need this kind of energy right now. Seeing the new and the fresh [artists] and also honoring Wynonna, honoring Toby Keith. Seeing how, at the Grand Ole Opry, all that history, you’re going to feel that energy and that’s what I’m excited about too.”
Little Big Town isn’t just hosting the show; the group is also nominated for Group/Duo of 2023.
The People’s Choice Country Awards will air on Thursday, September 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and Peacock.
