Carrie Underwood, Jelly Roll and More React To Toby Keith’s Death
The news of Toby Keith’s death was a shock to many this morning (2/6) when they woke up. We all knew he had cancer and was fighting, but the shock hit many of us just the same.
Already, country superstars have been reacting to the sad news that Keith died last night (2/5) at the age of 62 of stomach cancer.
Carrie Underwood posted photos of herself with Toby on her Instagram. She wrote, “Saddle up the horses, Jesus, ’cause a true blue COWBOY just made his ride up to heaven!!! Introduce him to all the Okies, and sign that boy up for the choir! We’re gonna miss you, Toby, but my heart has no doubt that you are standing in the presence of our King right now!!! See you again someday, friend.”

Jelly Roll already posted to his Insta Stories a photo of Keith and wrote, “We covered ‘Should’ve Benen A Cowboy’ at every show last year – Toby Inspired millions, and I was one of them. RIP”
Luke Combs also posted to his Insta Stories, “Damn @tobykeith I can’t believe you’re gone. You left one hell of a mark on country music, and I owe you one.”
Carly Pearce posted a black-and-white image of Keith performing and added a heart emoji.
Zach Bryan posted to his Insta Stories a shot of “Beer for My Horses” and wrote, Gotta saddle up your boy, we love you, and you will be missed.”
Keith’s Instagram posted a photo of him this morning and wrote, “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”
Thousands of fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, ‘Sending my deepest sympathies to all the family .he was an inspiration to me when I first came to America.RIP Toby Keith. God has gained a strong angel.”
