Kane Brown: Why He Missed Lauren Alaina’s Wedding
Kane Brown missed his friend and duet partner (“What Ifs”) Lauren Alaina’s wedding earlier this month (February) for a good reason.
Taste of Country reports that the country superstar was in the hospital having a vasectomy. Kane said, “I was laying on my back, high as a kite, the nurse and the doctor just standing over me. I’m spread eagle, and they’re just talking about their day.”
Brown admitted there was nothing he could do about it, but he feels like a “crappy friend” for not making the nuptials.
Kane and his wife, Katelyn, are expecting the couple’s third and apparently final child, a boy, later this year.

Brown posted the baby news on his Instagram in a Christmas Day photo that he and his wife, Katelyn, are expecting their third baby.
Kane shared a family photo of his wife and children — Kingsley and Kodi — sitting on a white couch in front of one of their family Christmas trees. Kingsley, their four-year-old daughter, is holding a sonogram of the new baby.
Brown captioned the post, “Last Christmas of 4 (heart emoji). Merry Christmas, everyone!!
Katelynn later took fan questions on her Insta Stories to talk about the new baby boy the couple is expecting and told fans that she and her hubby have a name picked out.
In a video clip, Katelyn said when a fan asked if she knew it would be a boy, “So, to be honest, I thought I was going to be a girl only because the pregnancy has been identical to Kingsley and Kodi’s.”
She added, “But that just goes to show you I don’t think there is any rhyme or reason when people say, ‘Oh, if you feel like this, you’re having a boy, or you’re having a girl.’ I don’t believe that. I think that’s just people trying to guess. But I don’t think that means anything.”
Katelyn also fielded questions about the upcoming baby boy’s name. She said, “I know a lot of people are asking what the name is, and we have name picked out. We have a top list of our favorite three, and as of right now, we have the name unless we hear an undeniable name and we want to change it.”
