Eric Church Announces ‘To Beat The Devil’ Nashville Residency
It has been quite a month for Eric Church’s Church Choir as he gears up for the grand opening of his new bar, Chief’s, on April 5. To kick things off, the country star has announced a 19-show residency at his six-story downtown Nashville establishment.

‘Church: To Beat The Devil Residency‘ will start its run on the same day of its highly-anticipated grand opening. Church will perform in the “The Neon Steeple” at Chief’s which was designed for intimate pop-up shows.
“These shows at Chief’s will be one of a kind, only for Chief’s and with some songs that will only ever be performed during these shows,” says Church in a press statement. “It’s the most unique show I’ll probably ever do, and I’m excited to enjoy this chapter of what Chief’s will be.”
Chief’s on Broadway posted a series of photos and a video showing Church himself preparing for the opening with the caption, “It’s simple: from the very first brick, Chief’s was built to be the home of the Church Choir. In the words of the Chief himself, ‘This is not just another club downtown. This is our house.’”
The announcement of Church’s residency follows the tens of thousands of deeds he issued to his fans and a physical brick from Chief’s just last week. In addition, members of the Church Choir also received what is to be the first of an “ongoing series of digital collectibles.”
Chief’s is situated at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and Broadway at 200 Broadway and was designed to pay homage to chapters in Church’s life including his Carolina roots. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from tickets purchased for the ‘To Beat The Devil’ Nashville residency will benefit Chief Cares.
