Garth Brooks Is Talking Las Vegas Extension
Garth Brooks is extending his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. He plans to add to the 18 performances at The Colosseum that are currently on sale and on the calendar, though when those shows may be and when they’ll be announced remains a mystery.
Garth said on Studio G this week, “Nobody knows when the onsale is, but I’m thinking it’s probably going to be in the fall. Don’t hold me to it, [but]…next two months? Now that’s a crazy thing; when you think about the last shows, they are already getting ready to be on sale!”
Brooks also addressed what he has coming in the near future as fans and friends have been asking what’s next for the country superstar; he said, laughing, “Everyone’s asking that! And to tell you the truth, I don’t have a clue!”
Meanwhile, Austin City Limits is celebrating its gold Anniversary beginning this fall, and they’re going to kick off their 50-year celebration by inviting Garth Brooks to join the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame.
When he heard the news, Garth said, “To be part of anything Austin City Limits is and always has been an honor. I am humbled and grateful to not only be a part of the 50th Anniversary but to be inducted into the ACL Hall of Fame is over the top.”

Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, are glued to their TV for the time being. The country music couple is watching coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics taking place in Paris, France.
Garth said Monday (7/29) on his Inside Studio G, “I’m just an ‘up’ guy. I love to be ‘up,’ so I think that’s why The Olympics get me. To hear the stories – the backstories – that they do and stuff is pretty cool.”
Brooks says there is also something more he feels the gathering of athletes from all around the globe is doing. “What it’s doing is it’s shrinking the world, to me. It’s showing me that other people have the exact same people that we do – just warriors that won’t give up on their dream.'”
He concluded, “It’s pretty cool. I love The Olympics.”
Trisha agrees and says she can’t get enough of the Summer Games, either, “You guys probably don’t know this, but I asked for uneven bars when I was 12.” She added, “I was obsessed like the rest of the world…so, I’m obsessed with gymnastics. I can’t wait to watch that.”
