Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves and Reba Donate to Reverb for Women
Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, among and other high-profile artists, are donating instruments, signed memorabilia and other items as part of the Girls Rock Reverb Gives Auction.
The week-long sale launches May 21 via the Reverb site and will benefit 10 nonprofits focused on empowering female, transgender and gender non-conforming youth through music.
Reba donated a pair of Justin autographed boots, country icon Loretta Lynn donated an autographed album and Dolly Parton donated a special bandana and an autographed CD.
The site does not specify what Kacey Musgraves donated.
Other participating musicians include Joan Jett, Patti Smith, Mavis Staples, Kelly Clarkson, Tegan and Sara, Regina Spektor, Chvrches, Lucius, Elle King, Tash Sultana, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, Norah Jones, Charli XCX, Bonnie Raitt, Annie Lennox, Sharon Van Etten, Cat Power, Alison Mosshart (the Kills, the Dead Weather), Ani DiFranco, the Indigo Girls, Kimbra, Evanescence, Little Big Town, Lita Ford, Fergie and James Taylor.
Reverb raised over $20,000 for the Girls Rock Camp Alliance in 2018 through a similar auction that featured items from Lady Gaga, Hayley Williams and Dolly Parton, among others.
