Luke Bryan Gets ACM Album of the Decade
Luke Bryan flipped the switch at the Grand Ole Opry last night (10/22) making it pink for breast cancer awareness month. Before he took the stage, he told us that he wants to play the Opry more than he does currently. He said, “I will get so busy and then I’ll ask my manager and I’m like, ‘We did the Opry, like nine months ago.’ And she’s like, ‘No, it was three and a half years ago.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh, we’ve got to get to the Opry.’ So getting to the Opry is always on my mind.”
While on stage, Luke was surprised with the ACM’s Artist of the Decade Award for his Crash My Party album.
He said from the stage, “‘Crash My Party’ was such a life-changing album for us. We didn’t know it at the time, we were just loving making music for you guys. It blew my mind the love and support we had from the fans. It’s so fun getting to do this. Thank you to my producer Jeff and my record label and management for sharing this experience with me tonight!”
The Opry posted to Instagram, “Shoutout to @lukebryan for helping us flip the switch to turn the #Opry barn PINK for #OpryGoesPink ???????? AND a huge congratulations to our friend on being awarded with the @acmawards Album of the Decade Award with “Crash My Party!”
The ACM posted to Instagram, “@lukebryan snags our final Decade Award as he takes home the ACM Album of the Decade Award for ‘Crash My Party.’ The 4X Platinum album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and landed Bryan six #1 singles! Keep the hits on comin’, Luke.”
