Jason Aldean Overheats On Stage: ‘It Was Pretty Intense’
Jason Aldean left the stage in a middle of a song on Saturday night (7/15) at a show in Connecticut, and fans were wondering why. A fan captured the moment on video when Aldean was performing in the heat and humidity at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford when he stopped singing and buried his face in his upper arm. It looks like he was wiping off sweat. And then he ran off the stage.
A TV station (WKYC) posted the clip to YouTube.
Aldean posted a video of himself talking about the incident from his tour bus on Twitter Yesterday (7/16). He said in the clip, “Hey, what’s up everybody? Jason here, and this is someday, I guess. I have a lot of people checking on me today after hearing about what happened last night at the show in Connecticut. I just want to let you know, thanks to everybody that’s calling in, checking I am doing fine. It’s just one of those things where I was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show, and it was just a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion.”

He continued, “I’m hearing a lot of stuff going around heat stroke and all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night. Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was, and I knew it was coming; I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could, but eventually, I knew it wasn’t gonna happen, and I was trying to just get off stage and figure out what was going on.”
Jason thanked his fans, saying, “So everybody that came out to the show last night, thank you guys so much for being there. Obviously, it’s not the way I wanted the show to end, not what I was hoping for on our first weekend of the tour by any means. But I had a couple of IVs. I had one last night when I came off the stage and one today. Got a show in Saratoga tonight; we’re gonna play that shows, and then we’re gonna make the one up to you guys in Hartford as well.
He concluded the video clip, “I apologize for making the show short, but we’ll come back and make it to ya, and I’m feeling a lot better, so thank you, guys, for checking in.”
Thanks everyone for checking in on me. Hartford, we’ll share rescheduled info soon. Saratoga Springs, see ya tonite!🤘🏼 pic.twitter.com/wVWGAmDmSZ
